Pakistan Plane Crash Updates: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft on Friday 22nd May 2020 crashed near the Jinnah international airport in Karachi. The Airbus 320 carrying 100 passengers crashed at Karachi’s Model Colony one minute before landing.
The flight was en route from Lahore to Karachi and crashed when at 800 feet. According to the initial report, there was a failure of the landing gear when the aircraft was near the runway.
An emergency has been imposed in Karachi. Around 4-5 houses and 6-7 cars have been destroyed and a fire has engulfed five houses.
The plane went down in what seems like a densely populated residential area – the Jinnah Garden area near Model Colony in Malir – just short of the Karachi airport.
